    Join the MDAR Apiary Program Team at the new State Apiary at Bristol Aggie for a hands-on demonstration  Friday, May 10, 2024 from 1:00 to 3pm.

    This event will be held live and in person (rain or shine!).
      The event is free and open to the public, no pre-registration required.

    Take advantage of this excellent opportunity to ask questions directly to one of our club's most knowledgeable beekeepers and State Apiary Inspector: Paul Tessier.

      Attendees should wear closed-toed shoes, pants, and long-sleeved shirts, and bring their bee veil. Protective beekeeping gear will be provided (limited supplies available), if needed.

      The State Apiary is located near the Standish House Admin Building close to the Taunton River.
      To park, take dirt road (not the residential driveway) past Frank Costa Memorial Park adjacent to Taunton River then follow signs.

    • Spring Hive Opening  with MA Inspector, Paul Tessier and club member, Craig Brown (bring protective gear)

    • Informational Table

    • Delicious Buffet Lunch and time to talk about bees with other club members

    • Amazing Raffle with over 20 bee themed prizes and the very popular "Box Full of Scratch Tickets"

    • "Have Some Fun with Small Hives: 2 and 4 Frame NucsBill Mackintosh, Club BOD member, will offer tips and insights on this topic in the afternoon.

    • Games and other fun activities

    Please bring:

    • Your favorite honey dessert for the contest

    • Protective gear for hive opening

    • SCRATCH TICKET(s) for the raffle

    • Cash/credit card for raffle and merchandise

      The event is hosted by Franklin County Beekeepers Association.

      The registration table will open at 8:00 am.

      The Field Day will start at 9:00 am.
