Our February meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 7-9 pm
We will meet in Bristol Aggie - Student Commons (download map)
---------
In this talk, we’ll walk through practical winter management of honey bee colonies and how to assess winter losses.
We’ll go over where your bees should be now and what to expect in the coming weeks.
We’ll then look at how to evaluate equipment from deadouts and piece together what may have gone wrong.
Finally, we’ll cover what to look for in comb and equipment, including signs of pests and diseases, and how to determine whether equipment is safe to repopulate in the spring.
Learning these lessons can help improve winter survival in future seasons.
